AA The Architectural Association School of Architecture in London invites Antón García-Abril to act as one of External Examiners for this year’s AA Intermediate (RIBA/ARB Part 1) and AA Finals (RIBA/ARB Part 2). Examinations take part 19th and 20th of June and involves a review of individual student folios by students and staff which last throughout the day, followed by a short evening meeting.

Reader's House in ABC

Today the spanish newspaper ABC dedicates a article to the Reader's House. The building is almost finished and is about to open.Like it says the article, the "Reader's House it will be a big cultural center that will make the reader's and the reading the fundamental leading figure.

We know that alphabetical reading starts after decoding a protocol of signs that the retina scans. Then the brain comes to the boil and creates the images, emotions and structures of reason that enable to process the ideas previously hidden behind the complex combination. It is an intellectual construction of high abstraction and a creative act of enormous intimacy. Reading is also an act of communication that connects people’s life, that provokes dialogue with everything around us.

Antón García-Abril was last week at Università della Svizzera italiana - Accademia di Architettura on a Final Critic, invited by the architect Valerio Olgiati.
