The Broken Wall House
A residence in Panticosa, Spain, 2024
The House with the Broken Wall is about time…
about the passage of time…
about the passage of light, in time…
about the movement of space.
It is the forces that generate the fracture, and the grace with which this energy is permeable. I doubt if the energy was captive within the volume and exhaled outside, or if, on the contrary, this dense and contained space breathed due to the pressure that the beautiful exterior landscape exerts towards its interior. A fissured mass, always expressing age and the Pyrenees, with its cracked peaks, enters the interior through the interstices of the wall.
Inside, is a domesticated plane with a tree in the center as a hearth flame, and shelter in the mountains.
